I'm Betsy Speert
I've been a designer for longer than some of you have been alive. I have now started a new page of my career, closing my firm and designing furniture, selling antiques at Studio 534 in the Boston Design Center as well as writing decorating books.
A few of you may be familiar with my work over the years by seeing me in magazines. I tend to think that I'm funny, so please read my postings with a grain of salt thrown in for flavor. My spelling is atrocious, so I am refusing any responsibility for spell check right here and now. I hope anyone reading this will enjoy the pictures, info and humor.

These are the two books I wrote. I like the one on color better, but if you are planning a large over the top bathroom, then you can get some ideas from my bath book. The color book has lots of my work in it, the bath book doesn't have any. That's probably why I like the book on color and pattern better.
